hi everyone,

as many of you know, we were originally purchasing items directly from the stores itself (which automatically came with an album per claim), and we began to offer ‘pc only’ options at a cheaper price via a korean proxy due to joiner demand.

our proxy was initially extremely communicative and gave us no reason to doubt her. especially since she sent us the first batch of pcs we ordered, we decided to continue using her as our proxy and was waiting on our second shipment containing the rest of the items above. however, after multiple claims that she would send out the final shipment, she has since been inactive.

we have been persistently attempting to contact her on all possible platforms (kakaotalk, twitter, etc.) with zero luck.

we have been in contact with our kaddy (as we paid through there), and they’ve been helping us by submitting a report to the korean police to register her and her payment details as a scammer. however, we were informed that it is unlikely for us to receive any compensation.

as much as we wish we could offer another solution to recover lost items and amounts, we have done everything we can to find a resolution to this issue and are now forced to continue in this unfortunate situation. we feel your frustrations and we apologize that we cannot do more to compensate the funds that were lost.

the both of us had also put a lot of money into these sets for both our claims and covering all leftover claims, so unfortunately it would be difficult for us to offer refunds to joiners without receiving a refund ourself. ☹️

of course, if we receive any further information and receive a refund from the scammer, we will be promptly notifying everyone. however, due to the slim chance of this happening, we’ve decided we must continue forward in the process.

what we can offer is:

a) drop your claim(s) b) find another trusted source to repurchase the sets; (i.e. through xianyu or neokyo), however, this would require us to collect initial payment from joiners again.

this situation has been extremely frustrating and stressful for us goms and we’ve been trying to do whatever we can to rectify this before resorting to this announcement, especially to not cause alarm. we both deeply apologize for this ordeal — we were in good contact with this proxy and had received our first shipment from her, so we truly had no reason to have distrust in her until her recent disappearance…

we understand some people may prefer not to repurchase their claims, so we will be reaching out to those affected to confirm your decisions within the coming weeks.

it’s not an ideal wait time, but we assure you we’re doing the best that we can to coordinate with our individual schedules and continue with the process — there’s just a lot on our plate and we’re trying to do whatever we can.
